Game Plan For Building The 2018 -53 Man Roster!

Here we go, I will look first at the 10 Packer Free Agents!

My first obvious question is Morgan Burnett?

First, as a person & as a leader, would sign him in a second!  Now, football stats, $$$$$$, and age?
At 29, that is one strike against him.  At, $6,000,000 last year, another strike against him.  His production?

This is VERY difficult, Capers moved hime all around!  Safety, Slot Corner, and inside linebacker!

But, 0 interceptions, one forced fumble, and some injury issues the past 3 years and for me, it comes down to $$$$.  Here is my offer - 3 years @ $4,000,000 a year.  If he can sign for more, Morgan should go for it!  This is a DIFFICULT decision!

Next, 3 players over age 30?

Ahmad Brooks - 33

Jahri Evans - 34

Brett Goode - 33

No, to Brooks & No to Evans (SORRY Terry!)

Brett Goode, our VERY dependable long snapper!  Just like last year, look for a younger player, but keep his name on speed dial!

Late 20's

Devon House - 28

Demeti Goodson - 28

Quinton Dial - 27

I would say bye to Demetri, and offer Devon House a 1 year deal for 2.5 million & Quinton Dial a one year deal for $800,000 or whatever league minimum is.

John Ulrich, offensive tackle, let him go.

Richard Rodgers, we almost need to sign him.  This is one of last year disasters & nothing good has happened the past few years!  Cannot go crazy, would offer 3 years @ 3 million total.

And like many Packer fans, Jeff Janis!  It started a such a cool project!  Kid, from small school, great size, great speed, and seems to be a Packer Fan Favorite!  But, it is a business, bye bye Jeff!

So, it is mostly a money($$$$) thing!  But, which of these TEN players could help in some way!

Will they be back in 2018????  Would you bring them back??  Time will tell!!!!

Time To Get Back To The Packers! It Is 2018!

I decided to take time off & try to forget the 2017 season, BUT remember the Packer Buddies awesome trips to Green Bay!!

Had the chance to get to 4 games this year, one away & 3 home games!  Had a great time in Pittsburgh and have my older son there(he is a Steeler fan!) was fantastic!!  And, the Pittsburgh was a lot like the Packer experience, great fans, beautiful football setting, and as it turned out, a good football game!

And, after Aaron went down, we still had chances, BUT, the Packers closed the season

at 7 wins & 9 losses!  First missed playoff season in 8 years!!

But, the Packer Buddies finished with style!!!

I look at this moment as a chance for change!  And changes have been made!!!!  New general manager, MANY, new coaches, we still have Aaron, AND, the Packer Buddies are still planning more great trips!!!!
