Green Bay Packers - Assessing the Packer Depth Chart
This article had some very good points, here is my analysis:
WR's - Pack still has 3 of the best combinations in the league - Nelson, Cobb & Jones! It is always nice to have more play makers - maybe out of the young ones from last years roster & the new draftees we can find one! Also, help with the return game is critical! I hope we get one of the young ones to become a DEEP threat! Love those 60-70 yard TD's!!!
TE's - Wow! Still do not like Finley. I was hoping for a top one in the draft no luck! My underdog is Bostick! But, maybe, just maybe, Finley will shine! This is his last year in his contract!
Tackles - Another key move for 2013! Need to protect Rogers! Injuries is the key!! The last few years, the injury bug has hit hard. The article hints that Bulaga, moves to left tackle & the rest fight it out on the right side! My hope is Sherrod bounces back from a big surgery!!
Guards - feel good about Sitton & Lang! Just need depth!
Center - Dietrich-Smith won the positions in the middle of the year & maybe this year he can get even better! The biggest thing is Rogers seems to trust him!
QB's - Rogers! And I guess McCarthy trusts his young backups! STAY HEALTHY AARON!!!
RB's - This is to me the most exciting part of the new offensive machine! We drafted two good ones! Lacy, seems to be a punishing inside runner & Franklin should make the defense stay honest! I see Harris as the change of pace guy. The runners from last years roster - GOOD LUCK, one may stick?
And defense, DE's - We need a pass rusher! Maybe we have him - Jones! The other guys, adequate at best!
NT's - Need at least two "wide bodies", Raji is above average & so is Picket, but he is 34 years of age! I DO NOT want to see more than one BEER BELLY on the field at a time!!!!
OLB - Mathews new contract & his engine is already cooking! One of my highlights of going to Packer Game with my Packer Buddies is watching Matthews warm up! He is like a sprinter before a track meet!! The other side, here we go again, Perry stay healthy!!!
ILB's - Another one of my concerns!! AJ Hawk is average at best & Desmond Bishop must stay healthy & see if he can be a difference maker inside! There is that word again STAY HEALTHY!
CB's - Williams must get back to form! Should be one of the top corners in league! Hayward had a great rookie year - should get even better & Shield should be OK.
S - Burnett must keep getting better & start to make some big plays! With Woodson gone can Jennings, McMillan, & others fighting it out! NEED TO TACKLE BETTER!!!!
Excited for the 2013 season! GO PACK GO!!!
