This to me is simple. We have one of the best in the league - Aaron Rodgers. For the past several seasons we have had below average back-ups. Rogers does not play we lose. Rodgers does not play, we have a below average football team - very simple!
Next, the health of Aaron Rodgers has been questionable. Why? Supporting cast around Aaron has deteriorated! Players like - Jordy Nelson, John Kuhn, TJ Lang, Josh Sitton, Charles Woodson, AJ Hawk, Casey Hayward, Micah Hyde, Clay Matthews, etc have grown older, retired and have not been replaced by adequate players(Than You Ted!) Therefore, Aaron tries to do too much!!!
Stagnant Offense! Bye Bye Big Mike! The "Eye Ball Test"! Same old offense! Very Predictable!
We all know Aaron is a "Quarterback Nerd!" I am a retired educator. If you have a smart kid in the classroom, they must be challenged. Aaron was NOT challenged!
Backups, Kizer & Boyle NOT the answer!
So, my plan, we still need a veteran backup. Trade one for an old guy! My two favorites:
Ryan Fitzpatrick and Josh McCown.
