Building a Champion - Defensive Line

If wide receiver is critical on offense, then defensive line is the next draft focus!!  Here is our short list, remember, we play a 3-4 defense, so, our roster does not need a bunch of big guys!

Montavius Adams - 6'4" - 304 - Year 3

Kenny Clark - 6'3" - 314 - Year 4

Kingsley Keke - 6'3" - 288 - Year Rookie

Tyler Lancaster - 6'3" - 313 - Year 2

Dean Lowry - 6'6" - 296 - Year 4

5 players and no All Pro type!  We have be waiting for Kenny Clark!

Kenny Clark - 6'3" - 314 - Year 4

Remember, Clark was drafted young, 19-20 out of college.  He has shown glimmers of greatness.  This is the season, BECAUSE next year he is a free agent.  You know what that means, 10-15 million per year & salary cap!!!  (DO NOT FORGET - we need to sign David Bakhtiari also next year - see how easy it is to break the bank!)  So, WE NEED a giant season out of Clark!

Dean Lowry - 6'6" - 296 - Year 4

Another good starter, but not not great.  He is a good starter and with his size can take up space!  Also, athletic & smart (Northwestern grad)  Will be another key part of a Packer Playoff run!

Tyler Lancaster - 6'3" - 313 - Year 2

A backup at best, but needed to play a bunch of football last year!  He is adequate as a fill in and at times is able to make a play, but the Packers must upgrade!

Next two players must earn their roster spot!  Adams has had his chance, but we need more!  Keke is still very raw and the pre-season will be critical!

So, what does YOUR GUT tell you?  We NEED a starter from the draft!  Or, a project!  But, the ad in the paper should read:

Space Eater

Run Stopper

A big boy, that is not easy to move and 

will sack a QB on occasion!
