Building a Champion - Wide Receivers

OK, if the Packers have dreams of a Super Bowl victory, the 2020 draft MUST produce a starting wide receiver!  And, not only a starter, but a SPEED receiver - STRETCH the field!!  So, what do we have????

Davante Adams - 6'1" - 215 - Year 6

This is the Packers man.  He is consistent.  He is a team player.  Last year stats:
383 receptions - 997 yards - 5 TD's (And, only y played 12 of 16 games)

Adams will be there for 2020.  He has proven to be one the NFL's finest.  Adams needs help.

Allen Lazard - 6'5" - 227 - Year 1

Lazard flashed some ability is 2019.  With his height & toughness, his talent was enough to
show he belongs in the NFL.  Lazard should make more noise in 2020!  He stats:
35 receptions - 477 yards - 3 TD's

This receiver will be an important past of the 2020 team and if he is able to take those stats up
a notch, the Packer Offense will be starting to scare people again!

Devin Funchess - 6'4" - 225 - Year 5

A free agent pick up that is a gamble, but not a big gamble.  With the release of Jimmy Graham
and the side of Funchess at 6'4 & 225 pounds, he may get those throws & more!  Had some good
years for the Panthers playing with an inconsistent Cam Newton. Only played in one game for Colts
last year in 2019.
His best year with the Panthers was 2017.  Stats:
63 receptions - 840 yards - 8 TD's

We need that kind of year this year for the Pack.  Remember, out of college Funchess was a tight end and we may see the majority of the passes to Funchess in the tight end role.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling - 6'4" - 206 - Year 2

This is a do or die year for Valdes-Scantling.  Good size, great speed, needs to be great in 2020.
26 receptions - 452 yards - 2 TD's

Equanimeous St. Brown - 6'5" - 214 - Year 2

Injured all of 2019, St. Brown will have one more opportunity.

Jake Kumerow - 6'4" - 209 - Year 2

This is one receiver you would love to see succeed!  From a small college, a walk on & taking the
difficult road!  Has the size, the speed, and hands to be a bonus!  WHY NOT!

12 receptions for 219 yards - 1 TD

Darrius Shepherd - 5'11" - 186 - Rookie

Malik Taylor - 6'2" - 6'2" - 216 - Rookie

Reggie Begelton - 6'0" - 200 lbs - Year 1

Free Agent

Ryan Grant - 6'0" - 194 - Year 6

This list could be SOOOOOOOO much better with just ONE addition.  A receiver with SPEED & EVASIVENESS! Just one!

It is time that the Packers get
Aaron Rodgers a home run hitter!!!!
